Where does the inspiration to create a piece of fine art or beautiful music come from? Are the arts merely products of the material world, or connected to something greater - a higher power beyond ourselves?
The word inspiration means "to breathe into" or "to give life". Across many traditions and beliefs, God - or The Creator - is understood to have breathed life into us. In this sense, are we not also creators, expressing ourselves through acts of inspiration and creativity?
Art and music possess a unique power: they can uplift the soul, deepen our understanding of the world, and draw people together. When seen in this light, how might the arts contribute to both our material and spiritual progress 0 individually and as a society.
Join us as we discuss and explore these ideas.
These chats aim to uplift, inspire and give expression to the human spirit; the conversations benefit from all participants’ viewpoints. Community members of all ages, backgrounds, and beliefs are invited to contribute to elevated discussions, inquiry, consultation and learning. As we grow together and learn from one another we hope to build bridges of unity and respect for all humanity, as we work together to build our CommUNITY.
