Landscaping with Native Plants In-Person
Ever wonder why you have a plant in your yard you just can't seem to get rid of? It's likely it's an invasive species! Invasive species (some famous examples being Burmese pythons and zebra mussels) are one of the greater environmental, economic, and human health threats we face today. Matt Gallo, Terrestrial Invasive Species Coordinator with the Finger Lakes PRISM will give an introduction to invasive species, history of the different horticultural pathways, why non-natives can become invasive, discuss common invasives that were introduced through horticulture and go over native plant alternatives.
Join Matt Gallo, Terrestrial Invasive Species Coordinator at the Finger Lakes Institute - Finger Lakes PRISM for this informative program.
